Goat-Tee

I created this for the Youth Art Contest where the theme was Western Lifestyle. I didn't have as much time to have worked on this as I would have liked to, but I am happy with the results. Oil pastels and acrylic.

Fluorescent Lights

Recently I have been playing around with ball point pen and have really enjoyed it. So I decided to draw one of the old building where I live. Ball point pen, colored pencils, and textile paper with water and acrylic smudging it.

Pretend to Pray

Stopped into a church
I passed along the way
well, I got down on my knees
and I pretended to pray
—California Dreamin' by the Mamas & The Papas
I decided to do this acrylic painting based on this verse of "California Dreamin'". These lines are my favorite in the whole song so I wanted to capture them in my painting.

it's a strange world

For this piece I wanted to show that something can look perfect and happy from the outside but if you look carefully it may not be. This is a cyanotype with colored pencils over it.

See for Generations

This is a graphite drawing of my friends grandmothers eyes. I wanted to capture the wisdom and ferocity that is shown from watching the years go by.

Happy in the Face of Madness

For this painting, I wanted to show how people can put on a happy mask even if their world is a disaster. Acrylic.

Mourning

Oil paints and dried flowers.

Electricity

I did this piece in hopes to bring in a more abstract style into my art. Oil paints on a hand stretched canvas.

Youngling

This is a self portrait of when I was in 7th grade. Graphite on paper.

Flower Dog

In this piece, I wanted to show my dog as being the delicate flower that he is. Pen and water color.

Breathe

This drawing is of a photo I took of my friend and my dog. It was a beautifully cloudy day. Graphite on paper.

Hidden Secrets

Graphite and colored pencils.

Self Portrait

This is a self portrait when I was in Santa Fe over spring break. Colored pencils and ink.
